Cracking/Hacking

In college I joined a club which competed in security CTFs. I really enjoyed learning the tools and methodologies used by hackers/crackers in the real world. Also I absolutely loved the "culture" around hacking, that every computer in the world is accessible if you try hard enough, Hacking gave me a bit of a power trip, and awakened my rebellious self. Thankfully the security competitions provided an outlet for this, and at its peak our team placed in the top 0.1% of academic teams in US on ctftime.org. Competitions which I have competed in:

Computer security was also my primary introduction to linux, to which I have become extremely attached to. The ability to look at the source code of every part of your operating system is invaliable to those who hunger to learn and customize their devices.
